Rather than Delay Killer's Parole Hearing...

The Parole Board of Canada has informed me that because of COVID-19 I have been banned from attending the parole hearing for the man who murdered my Dad.

When I asked them why the hearing wouldn’t just be delayed they told me that it was, “not in their mechanisms to postpone the date.”

Yet removing my rights as a victim was?

Upon discussion with the Federal Ombudsman for Victims of Crime in Canada, it has come to my attention that this is a direct result of the decision of Liberal MP Bill Blair - Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness.

Rather than delaying the proceedings, victims of crime in Canada are to be excluded from participation.

While procedural changes at this time of crisis are expected, this action is unacceptable and beyond reproach.
